Description
A letter from an unknown author to Mrs. F.G. Smith in Elma, Washington. 8 May 1917. Text near the signature line specifies that the author is a sales manager for North Whittier Heights. The author states that Mrs. Smith's earlier letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1337) has been received. The author explains that his office will likely be unable to sell Mrs. Smith's property in Washington as they mostly focus on business regarding orange, lemon, walnut, and avocado lands in Southern California. While the author states that he will tell prospective buyers about Mrs. Smith's proposition, he argues that it would be better for her to sell her property there, at market price, rather than attempting to trade. The author also claims that Mrs. Smith's sister should have no trouble finding work in California. The author then states that he will send Mrs. Smith a descriptive folder of the North Whittier Heights subdivsion so that she may consider purchasing some of its land once she has come to California. With pin holes, minor tears, and minor acid burns, the object is in good condition overall.
