Description

A letter from an unknown author to N.W. Godbold in Strathmore, California. 17 January 1914. A typed letter in response to N.W. Godbold's letter from the 18th of December, (object number 2017.41.1.287) stating he is not in a position to buy land at this time. Mr. Hart gave this letter to the author upon his return from holiday. The author hopes that Mr. Godbold can arrange his affairs so he can buy some of the young, planted lands in North Whittier Heights. Especially since the owners are planing to raise the prices on the 1st of February. In response to the cost of land being high, the author writes that the quality of land is high and will yield a larger percentage in profit. The author closes the letter by informing that with the modern townsite and completion of Turnbull Canyon Road, the value of property in North Whittier Heights will only go up. There is embrittlement in the bottom right corner, many small tears on the right side, water damage on the right side, a small fold in the top left corner, and discoloration of the top and right side. This object is in good condition overall.
