Description

A letter from an unknown author to O.L. Talley in Cooper, Texas. 15 December 1915. A two page, typed letter. The author confirms that Mr. Talley's earlier letter regarding the North Whittier Heights subdivision (Object ID: 2017.41.1.965) has been received and that he will be sent a descriptive folder of the property. The author briefly discusses the information that Mr. Talley will find in the folder, including the prices of unplanted lands, which range from $450 to $800 per acre. However, the author also states that other hill and canyon properties are available with prices ranging from $150 to $300 per acre. The author explains that finding a property with both walnut land and mountainous terrain would be difficult and recommends citrus land instead. The author asserts that it is an optimal time to buy and plant an orchard since nursery prices will be low, and encourages Mr. Talley to contact him again once he has looked through the descriptive folder. With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, minor foxing, and a minor acid burn, the object is in good condition overall.
