2017.41.1.1465Description
A letter from an unknown author to Pink Varble in Louisville, Kentucky. 9 July 1918. The abbreviation "PDW-G" may refer to Phillip D. Wilson. In response to Mr. Varble's earlier letter, which is most likely another document in the HM Collection (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1462), the author states that Mr. Varble will not be able to get a good orange grove for $3,500 or $4,000 since properties of that kind in Southern California are $1,000 or more per acre. Nevertheless, the author states that Mr. Varble will soon be contacted by Mr. Hart, who may be able to submit a suitable property to him. With creases, pin holes, yellowing, minor moisture damage, minor stains, and early signs of foxing, the object is in good condition overall.Lexicon
