A letter from an unknown author to R.H. Cawthorn in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 16 July 1915. A two page, typed letter. The author confirms that Mr. Cawthorn's letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.883) has been received and that he will be sent a descriptive folder of the North Whittier Heights orange, lemon, grapefruit, walnut, and avocado land subdivisions. The author lists the prices of unplanted lands as ranging from $450 to $800 per acre and the prices of planted lands as ranging from $700 to $1055 per acre. The author mentions that $450,000 of the property has been sold since 1913. The author suggests that Mr. Cawthorn can send an acquaintance to inspect the property or write to entities such as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to learn the merits of the property, though he specifies that it would be preferable for Mr. Clark to see the land himself. The author offers to provide more infomation if desired.
