Description
A letter from an unknown author to Samuel Dumphy in Los Angeles, California. 6 August 1915. In reference to a previous phone conversation, the author tells Mr. Dumphy that the citrus and ahuacate land subdivision in Puente Hills has not been officially offered on the market, but that 80 acres of the land has already been sold. The sold acreage had been planted to Eureka lemon and Valencia orange trees. The author clarifies that, temporarily, buyers will be able to pick any unplanted properties at $650 per acre and any planted properties at $750 per acre, and that a share of water stock comes with each acre. The author states that prices will rise once the property is officially listed on the market in the fall. The author offers to give Mr. Dumphey a tour of the property. With discoloration and a water stain, the object is in good condition overall.
