A letter from an unknown author to T.D. Obarr. 8 November 1917. The abbreviation "GTR:G" near the signature line may refer to Grover T. Russell. In response to Mr. Obarr's earlier card (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1388), the author explains that ranch owners in the North Whittier Heights, Puente, and El Monte sections will most likely refuse to trade their properties for Mr. Obarr's house and vacant property in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, the author suggests that owners in these sections may accept the properties as a partial payment for one of their ranches. The author asks Mr. Obarr if he would be open to a deal of this kind. The words "Special Letter" have been written in pencil toward the top of the page. With moderate acid burns on the back side, ink smudges, faded text, a crease, minor foxing, minor discoloration, and minor tears, the object is in fair condition overall.
