Description

A letter from an unknown author to T.G. Dodds in Oakland, California. 4 September 1914. A typed, 2 page letter in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.602) requesting information on North Whittier Heights. Property is sold in tracts of 5 to 50 acres, either planted or unplanted. Unplanted lands range from $400 to $800 an acre, and planted land ranges from $700 to $1025 an acre. Tables were enclosed, which gave the approximate cost of buying and upkeep of both planted and unplanted land; also, information on the markets for citrus and walnuts. The letter is closed with an invite to see the property. The pages (a and b) have a dent in the top left corner from the head of a straight pin, discoloration on the top and right side, and black spots in the top. The back of page 2 has rust damage at the top, possibly from a paper clip. This object is in good condition overall.
