Description

A letter from an unknown author to W.H. Crook in Whittier, California. 23 April 1914. A typed letter responding to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.454) where W.H. Crook offered $650 per acre for Lot 50 of tract 1953. Mr. Hart and the company will take off $100 (not sure if per acre or total) because of the wash cutting across the corner of the property. In a normal year there should be no water to come down the ditch, but should be left as is. Regarding a discount due to the road, no discount will be given. There is a 10 foot parkway that the purchasers can get an extra row of trees on, which is to the benefit of the buyers. This paperwork was mailed to Mr. Frazier on Lot 48 and will be mailed to Mr. Crook as well. There is an acid burn across the top and discoloration on the right side. This object is in good condition overall.
