Description

A letter from an unknown author to W.H. Crook in Whittier, California. 8 September 1916. The author confirms that Mr. Crook's earlier letter regarding a proposition for the Realty Investors Company has been received. The author states that Mr. Hart would consider taking in $2,500 worth of the property on South Figueroa street and some cash in exchange for the 9.13 acre orchard in North Whittier Heights. The author also explains that the company is willing to exchange its 20 acre Perris, California property if it gets an even trade for a portion of the 5 acre Bell property that Mr. Crook mentioned in another letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1190). The author states that he will, ideally, be receiving a letter about the commission soon. With moderate tears, creases, a large fold, minor acid burns, and early signs of foxing, the object is in fair condition overall.
