Description

A letter from an unknown author to W.H. La Pearle in Murray, Utah. 20 October 1916. A two page, typed letter. The author confirms that Mr. Pearle's earlier letter regarding the North Whittier Heights subdivision (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1211) has been received. The author provides information about the growing conditions, water availability, and planting costs for the property. The author lists the prices of unplanted lands as ranging from $150 to $800 per acre and the prices of planted lands as ranging from $700 to $1,250 per acre depending on the location and/or crop. The author states that Mr. La Pearle will be sent a descriptive folder of the subdivision and that he can refer to the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce or the Los Angeles National Bank to learn the merits of the property. The author suggests, however, that it would be more ideal for Mr. La Pearle to travel to Los Angeles and visit the property himself. The author states that Mr. La Pearle could choose to buy a property on a term basis. With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, a fold, minor moisture damage, minor ink stains, and discoloration, the object is in good condition overall.
