Description

A letter from an unknown author to W.J. Payne in Oneida, New York. 16 November 1914. A response to a letter requesting information on North Whittier Heights. A folder was mailed under a separate cover. Unplanted land can be bought in 5 to 50 acre tracts and costs $450 to $800 an acre. Several acres have been planted to oranges, lemons, grapefruit and walnuts. This land can be bought in 5, 10, 15, and 20 acre tracts and costs $700 to $1025 an acre. With the completion of Turnbull Canyon Road and the townsite, the demand for and value of North Whittier Heights will increase. A list of buyers has been included so Mr. Payne can contact them. The letter is closed with an invitation to come out and see the land should he be in Los Angeles. The pages have been glued together in the top left corner and there is discoloration on all sides. This object is in good condition overall.
