Description

A letter from an unknown author to W.M. Burke at the Whittier Extension Company in Puente, California. 18 October 1918. The abbreviation "GTR:G" near the signature line may refer to Grover T. Russell. The author states that Lot 15, Tract 2421 has been sold to Mrs. Bessie D. Taylor and Lot 16, Tract 2421 to Ms. Gracebel Taylor, both of whom are located in Beverly Hills. Further, the author states that both women would like the Whittier Extension Company to keep caring for their orchards, and that, in turn, they will pay the labor costs plus a 10% superintendence. The author also states that Mary E. Comstock of Puente purchased the western half of Lot 30, Tract 1953 while Albert MeKeel of Puente purchased the eastern half. With minor tears, minor acid burns, and severe discoloration, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
