Description

A letter from an unknown author to Wallace Gregg in Whittier, California. 13 September 1916. The author reminds Mr. Gregg that he would like to borrow money for improvements to his property, lot 39 in tract 2421 of the North Whittier Heights subdivision. The author states that the property is a 3.72 acre lemon orchard with interset avocado trees, a house, and an irrigation system. The author values the property at $4,500 and requests a loan of $2,000 for 3 years at 7 percent interest. The author explains that he wants the property to be his future ranch home, that a loan will help him diversify his funds, and that he will continue terracing its land throughout winter. With moisture damage, a fold, a crease, minor acid burns, and minor tears, the object is in good condition overall.
