Description

A letter from an unknown author to William Burke in Puente, California. 9 March 1914. A typed letter, requested by Mr. Hart, regarding the properties that have been sold and are planted to trees which the company is to care for. There is a 2 year contract for Lot 101 which was sold to W.A. Jamenson. Mr. W. Oakley wants care for his orchard as well, with work to be kept on a day labor basis. Oakley would also like the lot plowed sometime next week. The author writes that they would like to have an itemized statement of the work done on this lot by the company to the present date. Burris is to care for his own lot according to his contract, but may decide he wants the company to do the work for him. The author presumes that Reverend Coultas will have the people caring for his Lot 97 will also care for his Lot 63. Lastly the author left a map at Mr. Burke's home, which shows the lots that are to be planted to walnuts. There is small tears on the bottom, abrasion damage on the left edge and bottom, discoloration of the top and right side, and an acid burn along the top. This object is in fair condition overall.
