The author explains that a personal agreement with Mr. Martin dictated that the Whittier Extension Company would do the pegging for any property on the contour, while Mr. Martin would provide a man who could assist with the work. The author notes in a postscript that Mr. Hart may hold over a portion of the 1500 lemon trees from Weinshank. With ink stains, minor tears, and an acid burn/discoloration, the object is in good condition overall.
