Description
A letter from an unknown author working for Edwin G. Hart to R.H. Holland in Pomona, California. 12 January 1914.
A typed letter following up on the sale of property at North Whittier Heights. The author had not heard from R.H. Holland since their phone conversation before the holidays. The author writes that he will be happy to take Mr. Holland, and his father, out to see the property when it is convenient. They are expecting a lot of sales in 1914 and suggest that the Holland's buy soon. The Whittier Extension Company plan to put in a townsite and are completing a road connecting Pomona and Whittier Boulevards. These improvements should increase the demand for and values of the properties. They have considerable acreage, which has been planted to Valencia Oranges, Eureka Lemons, and Marsh Seedless Grapes. These are being sold in 5 and 10 acre tracts at $750 to $975 an acre. The owners expect to raise the prices of these young orchards on the 1st of February.
There is a small tear in the top right corner, several small tears along the top, a small piece missing from the upper left corner, creases on the left side and top, discoloration on the right side and top left, and abrasion damage on the left side. This object is in good condition overall.
