Description
A letter from Burke in Puente, California to G. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 10 February 1914.
A typed letter in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.345) sent on the 5 February 1914. Mr. Burke spoke to Geo. R. Kiddie, who believes the company (Whittier Extension Company) should construct a weir at its expense. He read in an old folder that a weir would be put on each 5 acres. Someone from the Los Angeles office convinced Mr. Kiddie that all the weirs the company was intending have been built. Also there are corner stakes which Mr. Kiddie wanted placed. There are 2 on the south boundary, in the wash, and 2 on Palm Ave. Mr. Kiddie is satisfied now, except for the weir, which he still feels the company should put on his lot.
There are creases from the letter being folded, a small fold in the bottom left corner, creases on the top, and the back has abrasion damage on the folds. This object is in good condition overall.
