Description
A letter from C.E. Plummer in Monrovia, California to Russell and Maple in Whittier, California. 11 June 1919. In response to an earlier letter from Mr. Russell and Mr. Maple, Mr. Plummer explains that he had mostly taken his ranch off of the market; however, he allowed a few agents to continue searching for a buyer through June with the goal of netting $20,000 along with the amount needed for tax and irrigation payments. Mr. Plummer states that he did this in anticipation of the upcoming harvesting season, which is expected to last three months and produce large crop outputs. Mr. Plummer gives Mr. Russell and Mr. Maple permission to sell the property on the same terms for the rest of the month, and states that he can take back a mortgage of $10,000 at 7% semi-annually. With creases, faded text, and moderate foxing, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
