Description

A letter from C.H. Webster in Hibbing, Minnesota to Edwin G. Hart in Los Angeles, California. 20 October 1918. A typed letter on a letterhead for Charles H. Webster. In response to Mr. Hart's earlier letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1510), Mr. Webster asks whether the $500-600 per acre properties and the $800 per acre properties are differentiated primarily by their elevations. Mr. Webster states that he would only be able to purchase properties which are up to $600 per acre, and requests to know how much water and taxes for these lands would cost. Mr. Webster also asks whether grove owners at North Whittier Heights use smudge pots for frost protection. The words "Spring seller" have been handwritten in pencil near the top of the document. With creases, minor acid burns, ink stains, and minor foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
