Description

A letter from Cynthia Temple to Pliny Fisk Temple, 28 January 1842. The missive was written a little over a year from the latter's departure to California by Pliny's older sister from the siblings' hometown of Reading. It goes into great detail about family concerns over Pliny's trip, acknowledges receipt of a 26 June 1841 letter from him, informed him that clothing was sent, mentioned local news and people, hoped for Pliny's return, and more. With many stains, folds, small edge tears, and soiling, the condition is fair.
