Description

A letter from D.A. Mizener in Los Angeles, California to Grover T. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 27 April 1914. A typed, 2 page draft letter on letter head for D.A. Mizener. Mrs. Scharenberg is looking to trade her Lot 48 in Orchard Dale. D.A. Mizener has found a Mr. Alphonso Moore, who came into his office and asked about a trade of Mrs. Scharenberg's land. Mr. Moore has 10 acres near Placentia with a bungalow. 2 acres have been planted to Navel oranges and 8 acres have been planted to Valencia oranges and both groves are 8 years old. The crop this year was light, but he has fumigated. Also, water is cheap, a paved road is being built past the property and a school house is close. Mr. Mizener informed Mr. Moore that Mr. Russell is the man to see regarding Mrs. Scharenberg's land. Mr. Moore has a mortgage of $14,000 but it runs a long time. From what Mr. Mizener can tell the property is good, the climate is good, and it is good orange land. Mr. Moore is asking $25,000 for his property on a cash basis. The letter head as the company and address in the center. It reads "D.A. Mizener / Investments / Suite 937 I.N. Van Nuys Building / Corner Seventh and Spring Street." To the left is a phone number of Broadway 4940. The top right corner shows that Mr. Mizener deals in Real Estate and Loans. There are creases from the letter being folded, water damage on the right side, and the back has abrasion damage along the folds. Page 1 (a) has rust damage on the top left corner. The back of page 2 (b) has rust damage in the top right corner. This object is in fair condition overall.
