Description

A letter from D.A. Mizener in Los Angeles, California to Grover T. Russell in Whittier, California. 25 March 1919. A four page, handwritten letter. Mr. Mizener apologizes for not responding to Mr. Russell's letters more quickly and thanks him for providing the names of avocado varieties. Mr. Mizener explains that the Pasadena Nursery Company delivered his six trees, which costed $3 each and were subsequently planted by Mr. Benton. Mr. Mizener thanks Mr. Russell for giving irrigation advice to Mrs. Mizener regarding avocados. Mr. Mizener goes on to discuss various properties. Mr. Mizener states that he has contracted to sell a 9.96 acre property in Richfield, California for $12,500 and that he is asking $4,000 per acre for his La Habra groves. Mr. Mizener then describes and quotes prices for half of Lot 5; Lots 51 and 53; and Lot 18 in Orchard Dale. Mr. Mizener apologizes for not being able to discuss more Orchard Dale properties due to certain arrangements. With creases, pin holes, rust stains, and minor discoloration/acid burns, the object is in good condition overall.
