Description
A letter from D.M. Boyd in Los Angeles, California to Grover T. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 22 July 1914.
A typed letter in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.557) regarding the money Mr. Locke owes to The Whittier Extension Company. The check of $134.98 was sent by Mr. Locke. This is for the difference due between the money owed to Mr. Locke and the money Mr. Locke owed to the Whittier Extension Company. Mr. Locke was owed commission for the sale of Lot 18 in tract 2472 to Floyd D. Jordan. He owed $231.00 for the trees planted onto lots 14 and 15 of tract 2472, as well as $113.18 in interest. Mr. Boyd has checked the figures and sees that Mr. Locke has also miscalculated the amount due to him for commission by $6 in his favor. Mr. Russell has taken this matter up with Mr. Locke.
The top center has an address of 111 West Fourth Street. Los Angeles, California.
There are creases from the letter being folded, damage on the left and right edges, a brown spot on the left side, early signs of foxing on the left, and the back has abrasion damage along the folds. This object is in good condition overall.
