A letter from E.B. DuBois, Proprietor of Fair View Farm, in San Rafael, California to Edwin G. Hart in Los Angeles, California. 28 September 1917. A handwritten letter on a letterhead for Fair View Farm in Kelseyville, California. Mr. DuBois states that he is leaving California and asks if Mr. Hart can help sell off his farm in Lake County, of which he has enclosed a description, as well as his ranch. Mr. DuBois describes the ranch property as being 196 acres with 120 acres of grain land as well as 2 barns, a small house, and other improvements. Mr. DuBois prices the property at $5,500 and notes that it carried a mortgage of $3,000. Mr. DuBois states that he can take prospective buyers to the property and assures Mr. Hart that he will receive a commission. With minor acid burns, creases, and minor silverfish damage, the object is in good condition overall.
