Description

A letter from Edward Lichliter in Ogden, Utah to Edwin G. Hart. 20 April 1914. A written letter on letter head for The Goddard Pickle and Preserve Co. Edward Lichliter would like to know the location of Whittier Heights as well as the cost to plant and maintain 10 acres of oranges. The top center gives the company name and type of objects they make. It reads "The Goddard Pickle and Preserve Co. / (Incorporated) / Manufacturers of / Pickles, Vinegar, Mince Meat & Condiments / Fancy Canned Specialties / Geo W. Goddard, Manager." Below this, toward the bottom, is the company logo in red. To the left of the company name, lists the officers and gives a phone number of Wasatch 1222. To the right of the company name, lists the directors and informs that the factory is at Lincoln Ave. and 20th St. in Ugden, Utah. There are heavy creases from the letter being folded, discoloration on the right side, a crease in the bottom left corner, and the back has soiling as well as abrasion damage along the folds. This object is in good condition overall.
