A letter from Edwin G. Hart in Los Angeles, California to Walter Dudley Burris in Puente, California. 6 May 1914.
A typed letter on letter head from the Whittier Extension Company. Enclosed in the letter was a receipt for 5.227 shares of the Whittier Extension Mutual Water Company and the by-laws of the same company. The stock will be held at the offices of the Water Company at 111 West 4th Street in Los Angeles, and attached to Walter Dudley Burris' contract. His certificate number is 25.
The letter head has the company name and address in the center. It reads "Whittier Extension Company / owners of / "North Whittier Heights" / Offices 917-923 Union Oil Bldg / Los Angeles, Cal." The top left corner lists Edwin G. Hart as managing agent. The top right gives the phone numbers of Sunset Main 2606 and Home 10421.
There are heavy creases from the object being folded, a fold in the bottom corners, a tear on the right side along the fold, foxing along the folds and other areas, holes in the top left corner from a straight pin, creases on the left side, and the back has abrasion damage along the folds.
