A letter from Errett Allen in Lancaster, California to Edwin G. Hart in Los Angeles, California. 27 September 1914.
A typed, half page letter, inquiring about land in North Whittier Heights. Mr. Allen would like to know the terms and plans for investors of 5 or 10 acres of orange and lemon groves. Mr. Allen would also like to know if there are plans for others to care for the groves, how good is the care, what is the cost of care, and what are the prices for planted and unplanted land. The top left indicates this letter is from Errett Allen, the principal of Plaquemine High School. The city of Plaquemine, Louisiana has been crossed out and replaced with Lancaster, California.
There is an acid burn over most of the page, creases from the letter being folded, holes in the top left corner from a straight pin, a fold in the top right corner, a small tear on the top right, rust damage in the top left corner, and abrasion damage along the folds both front and back. This object is in good condition overall.Lexicon
