Description
A letter from Henry Hancock to William Workman, 6 June 1859. Written from the steamer "Comet," Hancock wrote of pursuing the interests of him, Workman and Don Andreas [Andres Pico?] in unnamed property with the state surveyor James W. Mandeville and transmitted a letter to the General Land Office commission for Workman to sign. He ended with mention of sending an incomplete map of Rancho La Puente with a finished one to come later, with advice on seeking a patent (a final court ruling came in 1862 and the patent finally issued five years later.) With several stains, minor discoloration, creases and light wear, the condition is good.
