Description
A letter from Henry J. Yarrow, Los Angeles to J.F. Vorbe, 5 March 1870. The missive from the Angel City merchant concerns the purchase of stock in the Los Angeles Wine Growers Association and asks if more should be bought, while noting that some shares were acquired from Luis (Lewis) Wolfskill. Discussion also involved sheep valued at $18,000 and some disappointment about flocks, as well as the price of greenbacks (paper money). With folds, a tear on one of these, creases, browning and fragility, the condition is fair.
