Description

A letter from Horace S. Allanson to William Workman, 17 September 1860. The missive concerns an enclosed note "in favor of Timothy Wolfskill for $300 for 1 year at 2% [per] month [interest]" and requested Workman's endorsement and return with the bearer as well as asked Workman to destroy or return a second note given him by "Mr. [Thomas] Barker." After discussing the $300, Allanson reminded Workman of a promise to go to San Pedro with lodgings in half of his bed costing 25 cents. With some stains and creases, the condition is good.
