Description
A letter from J. Clem Arnold in Los Angeles, California to Grover T. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 13 May 1914.
A typed letter on letter head from The Express and The Tribune. The letter is in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.499) regarding a request for tree prices. Currently, 1/2 inch Eureka Lemons and Valencia Oranges are $0.50 a tree and 5/8 inch and up are $0.60 each. Mr. Arnold writes that he needs the land these trees are currently occupying, so he these will not be the prices for long.
The letter head is for The Express and The Tribune. Across the top reads, "Recognized Leaders in the Evening and Morning One Cent Newspaper Field." The left tells that The Express is put out every evening except Sunday and The Tribune is put out every morning including Sunday. The center of the page tells that J. Clem Arnold is the General Manager.
There are creases from the letter being folded, a brown spot in the bottom left corner, and abrasion damage along the folds both front and back. This object is in good condition overall.
