Description

A letter from J.L. Blankenship in Quanah, Texas to Mr. Russell. 27 October 1917. A handwritten letter on a letterhead for the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. In response to Mr. Russell's earlier letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1392), Mr. Blankenship states that he is forwarding the letter authorizing the transfer of his property, lot 2, tract 2421, to J.A. Scott, who will sign and return it. Mr. Blankenship requests a copy of the deed to the property's water stock, which must be signed by Mr. Scott and his wife. Mr. Blankenship also requests a receipt for the portion of his land purchase in lot 22, tract 2421 which will account for the difference between the approximate and completed surveys. Mr. Blankenship then asks for information regarding his second payment on lot 2 and the taxes on on lot 22. With creases, pin holes, rust stains, minor foxing, minor acid burns, and minor tears, the object is in fair condition overall.
