Description
A letter from John R. Sims to Thomas J. Baker, 13 November 1869. The missive concerns the completion of a railing for a building constructed by F.P.F. Temple, likely one of the Temple Block additions, but Sims informed Baker, the architect, that alterations to the structure, including the walls already being built, posed a problem for installation without stone blocks, foundation rods or a stone coping for the posts. A note by Temple records the year, however, as 1870. Other than leaching of ink, there is a creased corner, slight edge tears and minor soiling and the condition is good.
