Description

A letter from L. Brooks in San Bernardino, California to Mr. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 1 March 1914. A written letter concerning property in Whittier, California. L. Brooks has 22 acres in Whittier, which he is wanting to sell 10 acres of. He would like to know if he can exchange for part of the land and get cash for the rest. The lots are 17 minutes from 6th and Main and are close to car lines, a school and boulevard. The lots are corner pairs and are worth $2000 each or $4000 total. Mr. Brooks would like good citrus land. Mr. Brooks would like to hear from Mr. Russell as soon as possible, as he would like to plant to trees this spring. There are creases from the letter being folded, holes in the top left corner from a straight pin, a tear on the top edge, a small piece missing from the bottom edge, a crease in the top right corner, early signs of foxing, and abrasion damage on the back along the folds. This object is in fair condition.
