Description
A letter from L.M. Greene ion Whittier, California to Edwin G. Hart. 6 July 1914.
A written letter on letterhead from Whittier Citrus Association. L.M. Greene writes that in the ad for North Whittier Heights he saw that Edwin Hart is the general manager for the property. Mr. Greene knows Mr. Hart's reputation and would like to see if he can help in the selling of Mr. Greenes property. Once the property is sold he would like to use the money to buy property in North Whittier Heights. Mr. Greene would like to know when Mr. Hart will be in his office so he can stop by and see him. Mr. Greene closes the letter by telling Mr. Hart there is $1000 in it for him if he helps sell the property. There appear to be a list of names on the back of the letter.
There are three boxes along the top. The center box has the company name and type of goods. It reads "Whittier Citrus Association / Incorporated / Shippers of Oranges and Lemons Exclusively / Whittier California." The left box has the name and position of people who work for the company. The right box tells that they are members of the California Fruit Growers' Exchange and lists the brands of fruits they sell.
There are creases from the letter being folded, an acid burn on all sides, discoloration on the right side, and the back has soiling on the top half, abrasion damage along the folds and two small holes where letter folds meet. This object is in fair condition overall.
