Description
A letter from Martin Fesler in Covina, California to Edwin G. Hart in Los Angeles, California. 15 June 1914.
A written letter on letterhead from Martin Fesler. The letter states that Mr. Fesler would like to do business with Mr. Hart. Mr. Fesler has 50 to 60 avocado trees he would like to sell. The trees were field grown so they will not be root bound like plotted plants. He also states that the trees do better with frost than citrus trees do and that after 3 years they will pay. His trees in Orange, which are 4 years old, had fruit that sold for $1.00. His friend in Glendora has a 2 year old tree which produced 62 fruits and he made $31. Mr. Fesler closes with hopes that they can do business together.
The letter head has a photo of a field, building and trees in the top left corner. This photo is labeled Good Luck Ranch. To the right is the name Martin Fesler. Under this it reads "Plaster Contractor / Composition Floors and Drainboards / Cement Columns, Porch Posts and Pergolas / Phone 711." This portion has been stamped several times with a stamp that reads Bonita Nursery. Under this all is a the name of Covina, California.
There are creases from the letter being folded, a brown spot under the photo, early signs of foxing on the left side, and discoloration on the right side. This object is in good condition overall.
