Description
A letter from Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, 9 March 1931. The missive accompanied a clipping from the Los Angeles Express, not with the item, and concerning a proposal to rename Temple Street in Los Angeles. Worden added that, when he advocated for retaining the name in the 1926 edition of Harris Newmark's "Sixty Years in Southern California," which he edited, he lost the friendship of Newmark's sons, and said he was not able to fight the proposal as before. With folds, a stain or two and light soiling, the condition is good.
