A letter from Ralph E. Smith in Berkeley, California to Russell & Maple in Whittier, California. 31 August 1921. A two page, handwritten letter on a letterhead for the Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Smith states that, having moved back to Berkeley and feeling that he will stay for a number of years, he would like to sell his walnut grove in the Kwis Tract during the fall. Mr. Smith explains that the grove also has grapes, apricots, peaches, apples, pears, plums, oranges, and lemons, and that he may offer the property for a price that is lower than the original quote of $32,000 or include the year's crop in the sale. With creases, pin holes, smudged text, minor acid burns, minor foxing, and minor discoloration, the object is in good condition overall.Lexicon
