Description
A letter from Ralph E. Smith to Mr. Maple. 27 September 1921. A two page, handwritten letter on a letterhead for the Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Smith discusses the amount of walnuts that his grove produced in 1920 and 1919. Mr. Smith then states that his property has a mortgage of $15,000 at 7% interest due August 1922, that he will not take a lower price, and that he may be willing to include the year's crop in the sale if he can get all of his equity in cash. Mr. Smith also states that he would like to be there in 2 or 3 weeks. With creases, minor acid burns, minor foxing, minor discoloration, and pin holes, the object is in good condition overall.
