A letter from Ralph E. Smith to Mr. Russell, ca. 1910-1924. A three page, handwritten letter on a letterhead for Hotel Fresno in Fresno, California. In response to an earlier message from Mr. Russell, Mr. Smith states that he will sell the south half of the walnut ranch so long as the sale does not have negative consequences for the other half of the property. Mr. Smith discusses the matters of the property's irrigation, mortgage, and crop. Mr. Smith also requests that Mr. Russell wait one year before taking his commission from the buyer's payment, and indicates that the price should not be lowered any further.
