A letter from Sarah A. Gardner in Pasadena, California to G.T. Russell. 14 February 1916. In response to Mr. Russell's letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1013), Ms. Gardner states that she does not wish to exchange her Charter Oak property for lands in San Francisco or Seattle; she prefers to have real estate in Southern California. Ms. Gardner lists three propositions that she would find satisfactory, all of which include a cash payment, a mortgage, and or a trade to meet the $25,000 value of her property. With creases, pin holes, minor acid burns, and early signs of foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
