Description

A letter from the Whittier Extension Company to Henry Pitcher in Orange, California, 1 June 1913. A descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent to Mr. Pitcher, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property and a map showing the subdivided plots. Land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts, with a 100 acre townsite, 400 acres of rough foothills and 1400 acres of orchard land costing $500 to $900, with cheaper lands needing leveling before planting. Citrus trees can be planted for an extra $175 an acre. Loan terms are given and a water system is mentioned. With holes from a straight pin and warping, the object is in good overall condition.
