Description
A letter from the Whittier Extention [sic] Company to W. Dakin. 23 February 1918. The name of the author's employer has likely been misspelled, as it seems that this letter is from the Whittier Extension Company. The abbreviation "GTR/BR" near the signature line may refer to Grover T. Russell. Additional text refers to the "Sales Manager for Edwin G. Hart." In response to an earlier letter from Mr. Daken, the author states that the Whittier Extension Company does not specialize in unimproved properties such as Mr. Daken's 80 acre and 30 acre properties near Pixley, California. However, the author suggests that his company can submit the properties to interested parties. Regarding Mr. Daken's land in the San Joaquin Valley, the author states that his company would expect a commission of at least 10% for handling the property since it is far from the city. The author asks if Mr. Daken would like to exchange either of these properties for real estate in Los Angeles. With minor acid burns, minor discoloration, ink stains, and a minor tear, the object is in good condition overall.
