Description

A letter from W.H. Crook in Whittier, California to an unknown recipient. 24 March 1914. A typed letter on letter head for W.H. Crook. Mr. Crook sold Lot 48 in Tract 1953 to Dena J. Frazier. Mr. Crook had the Frazier's out to the property on Saturday and was told that if they decided to buy, they would send a check for $100. Mr. Crook just received the check. They bought 5.227 acres at $750 per acre. Mr. Crook is asking that a regular contract, with 1/5 down be sent to the Frazier's, and they will pay the difference. The letter head has Mr. Crooks name in the top left corner and the type of business he is involved in. It reads, "W.H. Crook / Dealer in / Real Estate, Insurance and Loans / Oil and Mining Stocks / Bond Investments." There are creases from the letter being folded, browning along the top edge, a fold in the top left corner, minor creases throughout (possibly from being handled), and fold in the bottom right corner, and the back has abrasion damage along the folds. This object is in fair condition overall.
