Description
A letter from W.W. Black at the Hotel Hayward in Los Angeles, California to Grover T. Russell in Whittier, California. 29 January 1920. A typed letter on a letterhead for the Hotel Hayward. In response to Mr. Russell, who referenced a letter that Mr. Black sent to Mr. Seares (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1550), Mr. Black states that his land is part of Lot A of a Montebello re-subdivision. Mr. Black explains that the 57 acres are located south of Salt Lake Railway, and asserts that the land is worth his asking price even if no oil is discovered on it. Nevertheless, he emphasizes that there is the potential for one to make an extraordinary profit. Mr. Black states that he would like to meet with Mr. Russell, and that he is prepared to pay Mr. Russell's regular commission in the event that he makes a sale. With creases, minor foxing, minor acid burns, minor discoloration, and a folded corner, the object is in good condition overall.
