Description
A letter from William Ramshay to Francis W. Temple, 22 June 1870. The missive, from "Owens Little Lake" south of Owens Lake in Inyo County and addressed to "Friend Pancho," concerned the disposition horses that Ramshay drove from the San Gabriel Valley and which were owned by him, Temple and William Workman. Reference to "your father" also indicates that the recipient was Francis. After discussing conditions with horses and cattle and a potential trip to "Salt Lake," Ramshay referred to "Mr. Reid," perhaps John Rowland's son-in-law, John Reed, as well as Workman's foreman Frederick Lambourn. With folds, light staining, and moderate soiling, the condition is good.
