A snapshot of a Los Angeles residential street, ca. 1920s. The viewshows a row of two-story houses on one side of a street with walks, lawns and some landscaping on a portion of the opposite side. Two automobiles are on the street with one parked and the other moving. A street sign is at the far right and, under magnification, the one indicating the main thoroughfare in the image appears to read "2nd St.," and the area appears to be west of downtown Los Angeles. Small palm trees in grassy medians between the sidewalks and curb indicate a relatively new development. On the reverse is a pencil inscription merely reading, "Los Angeles." With vertical bars from poor developing, pieces of mounting corners at three corners, an ink stain on the photo, soiling and some small stains, the condition is fair.
