Description
From a lot of 22 cabinet card photographs of the Los Angeles Sanitarium, located at 315 W. Third Street, and an Illinois house, ca. 1901. All but the last of the images are numbered. This image shows a parlor with an upright piano, small table, various chairs and floral print carpet and wallpaper trimming. Handwritten notes, and a typed copy, mention that the owner's great-great uncle may have owned them, because he was a designer and builder of houses. The images have curvature (said to be for stereopticons, though they are not stereoscopic photos with dual images). Overall condition is good: generally clean, except for edge rubbing and minor scratches to the back of the mat.
