Description
A lot of sixteen snapshots of the Saugus Division headquarters of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, 1906-1909. The headquarters was one of the closest to the city and located near today's California Route 14 at Newhall Avenue. This image depicts eleven office clerks, all men, sitting on the front porch of the main building marked "L.A. Aqueduct Headquarters Saugus Division." The photo was taken April 1st as clerks from field offices were at headquarters handling March payrolls. Inscribed on reverse and in general good condition with minor edge rubbing.
